(04/16/1999) Sangre Chicana vs. Cibernetico (AAA)

SANGRE CHICANA VS. Cibernetico
AAA
04/16/1999
Campeon De Campeons

Year: 1999
Type: n/a
Other: n/a

Synopsis:

Sangre Chicana (48 years old at the time of this match) and Cibnertico (never very good) had their work cut out to have a good match but the reality is, they never stood a chance due to AAA’s booking. This match is riddled with interference and incompetent officiating – the exact kinds of things that we (unfortunately) expect from AAA in any sort of big match. The brief moments where Chicana and Cibernetico are left to their own devices provide a memorable spot or two and some competent if uninspiring chain wrestling, but that’s about the best that can be said about this one.

(12/10/2005) Sangre Chicana vs. Shocker (AAA)

Sangre Chicana vs. Shocker
AAA
12/10/2005
HAIR VS. HAIR

Year: 2005
Type:  Hair vs. Hair
Other: Bloody

Synopsis:

A match from Shocker’s one year 2005-2006 run in AAA. This match happened at the latest possible time it could and still hold the possibility of being good as Shocker was on his way out of his early 2000’s spell as a good worker and Chicana was about to turn 55 years old. The match is fun – maybe even good – although in typical AAA fashion there are some overbooking issues. The first two falls avoid that pitfall for the most part but the finish to the third fall is not so lucky. This isn’t a great match, but a fun effort by a pair of luchadores from two entirely different generations.

(07/02/1993) La Fiera vs. Sangre Chicana (CMLL)

La Fiera vs. Sangre Chicana
CMLL
Hair vs. Hair
07/02/1993

Year: 1993
Type: Hair vs. Hair
Other: Recommended

Synopsis:

A methodical match whose quality is largely dependent on how one feels about matches with such a deliberate space. Fiera and Chicana do not leave any space in their match unfilled, it is just not always filled with wrestling action and rarely with quick wrestling exchanges. Rather they fill the space within the match at times by interacting with the fans (Chicana) and selling (Fiera). Both the rudo stalling and tecnico selling are strong. This is a match that has not got a lot of play over the years but is a match that would seemingly appeal to fans of Chicana’s other hair match work or scaled back, violent hair matches in general. A personal favorite of mine.
