Synopsis:

The version of this match that is (or was) on YouTube has a lot of clipping going on. The clipping appears to just cutting out the down time in between moves more than anything else but even then we are missing some significant time. The 10/18/1993 edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter lists the three-way portion as 4:07 and the apuesta match at 10:29. Both of those matches combined are less than ten minutes in the online version. From what’s there, both parts of the match – but more so the one-on-one portion – appear to be decent, high energy matches but its difficult to get a real grip on the quality. This is more of a high impact apuesta match as opposed to a violent run, but there are some quality double teams early and impressive offense from Misterioso late.

  10/9 television show was weak, although the Misterioso-Vulcano mask vs. hair match was good. It started as a triangular match involving Huichol and the two men pinned first would be in the match involving their hair or mask. Huichol and Vulcano kept pounding on Misterioso and pinned him at 4:07. As Vulcano was celebrating his pin, Huichol gave him a low blow and pinned him in six seconds. The stip match went 10:29 and had a strong storyline. Vulcano ripped off Misterioso’s mask, and he ran to the dressing room and came back wearing a new mask. Every time he got a near fall, heel ref Tirantes would slow count him and count normal speed when Vulcano had the pin. Vulcano was mad because he wanted fast counts. Then for the finish, Misterioso got a sunset flip and Tirantes fast-counted Vulcano out and he got his head shaved.”
