El Dandy and La Fiera could work a worthwhile hair match in their sleep and they do better than that here. Just don’t go in expecting an amalgamation of both men’s best hair matches and you are sure to not be disappointed.

Synopsis:

While not at all a match that jumps off the page, Sangre Azteca and Dragon Rojo Jr. wrestled a very enjoyable title match whose main flaw is a questionable inconclusive finish. The match builds slowly but progresses well and all three falls have their strong points. Not a match that has gotten a lot of play and it is not a classic title match, but it is a very strong one at a time where those were few and far between in CMLL.

Synopsis:

As good as the wrestling has been at times in IWRG during their history, the atmosphere and presentation often do not compare to CMLL and AAA. Not so the case here, where Dr. Cerebro and Hijo del Diablo wrestle a “big” match with the heat to match. The match is well-rounded and well-structured and includes periods of quality mat work, brawling, some blood, dives, and effective near falls.

A short hair match that succeeds based on some great babyface work from Brazo de Plata. He  pairs his innate ability for drawing sympathy with a pair of awesome high flying high spots as he fights to keep his hair. Like with most Porky matches, the heat is pretty good The crowd is firmly on his side and the crowd reacts to the finish in a manner befitting of a far more important apuesta match.

Synopsis:

Arena Coliseo title match pitting regular late 90’s NWA World Light Heavyweight title contenders Black Warrior (champion) and Shocker (challenger) against one another. Technically, there is little wrong with the match and some of it is even good but all three falls ultimately feel directionless. Overall, this is merely an average match at best but a chance to look at Shocker just before he dropped his mask and transformed his style.
