WINNERS VS. Super Calo
MASK VS. MASK
AAA
06/30/1995
Year: 1995
Type: Mask vs. Mask
Other: n/a
Synopsis:
The final match in the TripleMania III mask series falls flat, partially due to being an all tecnico match. The match fails to draw in the crowd and the sloppy execution doesn’t help as well. There are a couple bright spots, but overall the match is skippable and the worst of the three.

We don’t have much in the way of details of the final TripleMania show on 6/30 from Madero. The main event was a big surprise as Super Calo beat Winners in a mask vs. mask match which was a total babyface match of tag team partners before 16,300 fans (about 700 shy of capacity). Originally Winners was scheduled to beat Calo in this final match of a three-show mask storyline and come out of it with a major push, but it was changed because the company felt Winners’ personal problems were getting in the way of his wrestling and Calo was more deserving of the push. Both men shook hands and hugged after the match and Winners voluntarily unmasked and handed it to Calo. Heard it was a very good match but not great.
